The Nerd

Now an aspiring young architect from Terre Haute, IN, Willum Cubbert has often told his friends about the debt he owes to Rick Steadman, a fellow ex-GI whom he has never met, but who saved his life after he was seriously wounded in Vietnam. He has written to Rick to say that, as long as he is alive, "you will have somebody on Earth who will do anything for you"--so Willum is delighted when Rick shows up unexpectedly at his apartment on the night of his 34th birthday party. His delight soon fades as it becomes apparent that Rick is a hopeless "nerd"--a bumbling oaf with no social sense, little intelligence, and less tact. Rick stays on, and on, and on, his continued presence among Willum and his friends leading to one uproarious incident after another.

The Nerd is being presented as part of Anderson's Little 500 Festival, and is made possible through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Services, Inc. 440 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10016.

May 2-5, 10-11, 2002.

Ticket prices are $10.00 per person. Curtain is 8:00pm, 7:00pm Sunday performances. If you have questions about single tickets, or your season tickets call the theatre @ (765) 644-5111, or send us an e-mail.
